  • The Rathbone Hotel is located at 33 S. Cascade Ave, Montrose, Colorado. We are housed in a beautifully restored 1909 historic building, right next to the iconic Fox Theater in the heart of downtown Montrose.

  • Booking directly with our hotel ensures you receive the best possible experience, as we prioritize your comfort and convenience. Third-party booking sites often fail to provide the correct phone numbers or emails, which can create significant communication issues and make it nearly impossible to offer you a truly contactless and hassle-free stay. By booking directly, you guarantee seamless access to our team, personalized service, and the most accurate information for your reservation. We value your satisfaction and are here to assist you every step of the way.

  • This 116-year old structure does not have an elevator.  2nd floor rooms including lofts and suites are stair only access from the front or rear of the building.  Please email support@rathbonemontrose.com to arrange assistance with your luggage upon arrival.

  • The Rathbone Hotel offers free street parking, including designated handicap spaces, on a first-come, first-served basis.

    • Check-in: 4 PM (early check-in is available upon request, subject to availability).

    • Check-out: 11 AM (late check-out is available until 12 PM for a $20 fee).

  • Yes, please contact our team at (970) 787-3400 or email us at support@rathbonemontrose.com to arrange for luggage storage.

  • We do not provide cribs or Pack 'n Plays on-site, but we can arrange rentals through BabyQuip. Please let us know in advance if you need one.

  • If you booked with us directly -- For changes or cancellations, please contact us at (970) 787-3400 or email support@rathbonemontrose.com.

    If you booked with a 3rd party travel site (Expedia, Booking.com, etc.) you’ll need to first contact their Customer Service Department to request changes or cancellations as Rathbone does not have the ability to change or cancel a reservation made on a 3rd party site.

    Our cancellation policy is as follows:

    • Full refund if canceled 7 days prior to arrival.

    • 50% refund if canceled within 72 hours of reservation.

    • No refund if canceled within 72 hours of your reservation.

  • Your reservation will be charged in full 7 days before your arrival.

  • We do not offer traditional room blocks at this time. However, full hotel buyouts are available.

  • Only service animals are permitted on the premises, in compliance with Colorado law. Pets are not allowed.

  • Reservations are not required for our Parlor Bar; however, feel free to contact us for any special requests or large group inquiries.
